Eine wenig beachtete Sammlung von Fazetien und Invektiven Gian Mario Filelfos gegen Poggio Bracciolini
Abstract This article presents and analyses a collection of facetious and invective writings against Poggio Bracciolini, attributed to Gian Mario Filelfo, which was unknown to researchers until a few years ago. Johannes Herrgott from Marburg produced the only surviving copy (dated 1455), and probably brought the manuscript from Turin to Strasbourg. The anonymous author takes his cue from Poggio’s successful ‘Liber facetiarum’, but tries to counter Poggio with his own weapons. In many respects he follows Francesco Filelfo’s ‘Satyrae’.
