Abstract

The article summarises central definitional approaches in a model of educational learning sites that offer an out-of-school experience for students at school and at university level. The model structures fundamental conceptional ideas and raises questions about the where, what and how – essentially questions regarding the conditions for success of out-of-school learning. The focus lies on the three perspectives of inclusion, sustainability and digitality.
