Abstract

Values education is an ongoing topic in educational science and pedagogical discourse. The question of whether and how values should be taught is subject to very different views and approaches. Against the backdrop of a proven understanding of education and upbringing, this essay is committed to a pedagogy that conveys values. To this end, the concepts of values and norms in the age of value pluralism are questioned in order to arrive at a dialogue- and participation-oriented education and upbringing, which is concretised and reflected in the form of Socratic conversations.
