Abstract

Many adolescents need guidance and support when deciding on a career path and when coping with the transition from school to higher education, and eventually employment. Offering this support requires intensive coordination and communication between different actors, e. g. teachers in secondary school (general and vocational), pedagogues in extracurricular organizations, representatives of job centers and companies, etc. This collaboration can be subsumed under ‘multi-professional cooperation’. This article presents and discusses a course developed at the University of Kiel with students in teacher education programs along with further relevant professions supporting adolescents during the stage of transition from school to employment.
