Heimat(en)

Heimat(en) is the open access series of the Collaborative Research Centre 1671 “Home(s): Phenomena, Practices, Representations” at Heidelberg University, funded by the German Research Foundation. It publishes outstanding, peer-reviewed monographs and anthologies on the topic of home(s) from a broad historical and global perspective, as well as new model-theoretical findings from the interdisciplinary research network.

The publication series, founded in 2025, is co-edited by Christiane Wiesenfeldt (musicology) and Friederike Nüssel (theology). An international scientific advisory board reflecting the range of subjects covered by the CRC, consisting of Volker Leppin (theology), Stefan Matuschek (literary studies), Joanna Pfaff-Czarnecka (social anthropology), Melanie Wald-Fuhrmann (musicology) and Christiane Brosius (visual and media ethnology), will advise the editors.
