Editorial Team
Jenny Stümer (Editor in Chief) is research coordinator at the Käte Hamburger Centre for Apocalyptic and Post-Apocalyptic Studies. Her research explores the politics of affect and apocalypse with a specific focus on cultural politics and visual culture. She is the author of Walled Life: Concrete, Cinema, Art, which appeared with Bloomsbury in 2022 and her work has appeared widely in international peer reviewed journals and beyond.
Bruna Della Torre is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Käte Hamburger Centre for Apocalyptic and Post-Apocalyptic Studies (CAPAS). She holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of São Paulo, where she wrote a dissertation on Theodor W. Adorno, including a research stay with Fredric Jameson at Duke University. She was a Horkheimer Fellow at the Institute for Social Research in Frankfurt (2023). She is the co-editor of Objective Form and World Literature (Verso, forthcoming) and the author of Oswald de Andrade e os teimosos destinos do Brasil (2019).
Robert Folger is Director of the Käte Hamburger Centre for Apocalyptic and Post-Apocalyptic Studies (CAPAS) and Professor in Romance Literature with the Department of Romance Studies at Heidelberg University. His research focuses primarily on the medieval and early modern literature and culture of Spain and Latin America, as well as the literature and cultures of Latin America from the 19th century until the present day. He is a member of the board of directors of the Heidelberg Center for Ibero-American Studies (HCIAS), PI of the Thematic Research Network “Umwelten–Umbrüche–Umdenken” and subproject leader at the SFB 933 "Material Text Cultures" at Heidelberg University.
Felicitas Loest is Managing Director at the Käte Hamburger Centre for Apocalyptic and Post-Apocalyptic Studies (CAPAS). Her research focuses on post-colonial studies in the context of Latin America with a particular interest in the aesthetic discourses of landscape, conceptions of subjectivity/identity and the topoi of the sublime.
