Documenta Nepalica: Book Series is an open-access and print-on-demand publication series. It is edited by the Research Unit “Documents on the History of Religion and Law of Premodern Nepal” of the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities.

In its aim to disseminate research results on historical documents and related texts from Nepal and the Himalayan region, it brings out editions, translations and philological studies of particular texts or text corpora, along with contextual background studies. The series welcomes contributions representing different disciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches, including but not limited to Indology, Tibetology, linguistics, history, anthropology, religious studies, and digital humanities.
