    Jens Sejrup is a researcher at the Department of Anthropology, University of Copenhagen. A Japan specialist, he studies news media and communication, museum architecture, Euro–Japanese cultural interactions, and postcolonial issues in East Asia. His publications include articles in The International Journal of Cultural Studies, Pacific Affairs, Museum History Journal, Social Science Japan Journal, as well as several book chapters.

Abstract

Focusing empirically on transcultural phenomena in-and-out of China, South Korea, and Indonesia, the three papers in this special section of The Journal of Transcultural Studies interrogate important aspects of transcultural circulations and exhibitions of objects between Euro-America and the Asia-Pacific, both historically and currently.
